FORCING FAMILIES TO LIVE IN RAW SEWAGE IS INHUMANE!

Los Vecinos de Buford Highway have been assisting a tenant living at 3659 Buford Highway- Villas de Colinas at Buford Highway since January of 2022 with a variety of issues inside of her apartment that property management refuses to fix. As of May 22, 2022 there has been a sewage issue at the property directly affecting 4 families in 4 separate units in Building C of this apartment complex. All of these families have small children, babies included. All of them have been left to live in sewage for over a week. They all need our help. Official complaints have been made multiple times with the property management, the City of Brookhaven and now Dekalb County. Both the local police department and fire department have made a few reports.
Due to the ongoing negligence and unlivable conditions these families are continuing to endure, our team is assisting families with legal aid, financial assistance and temporary housing. We are asking your help today in getting these families the dignity they deserve. This fundraiser will pay for extended stay rooms for our families, basic necessities, and replacing some of their things as all of their belongings and furniture is destroyed.
We ask that you also please help us in calling on our Brookhaven City and DeKalb County officials and code enforcement to help these families and demand that the owner and property management of this property take responsibility to fix these problems.
